Assal Habibi is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Neurology at the University of Southern California and Director of the USC Center for Music, Brain, and Society. Her research examines how music and auditory experiences shape brain development, learning, and health across the lifespan, using behavioral, neuroimaging, and psychophysiological methods. She leads interdisciplinary studies on music-based interventions for children, older adults, and clinical populations, with a focus on cognition, emotion, and resilience.
